Prince George- There are no reported injuries but major damage has occurred in a fire at the Highglen Montessori Elementary School on Voyageur. 

The fire broke out at 3.30 this afternoon sending firemen and trucks from around the city racing to the scene. At one point one dozen police cars were at the scene. 

Corporal Craig Douglass says no one was injured and everyone was evacuated safely from the fire. 

The blaze started in a north end class room at the school and quickly spread to other parts of the building. 

At one point smoke was visible from outside of the city as firemen fought the blaze.
