Prince George, B.C.- The Tactical Armoured Vehicle (TAV) sits at the corner of Delzell and Ogilvie, while police cruisers block off the road at Dezell and Quinn this hour.
Prince George RCMP are not yet ready to release details on this police operation, but will say it is a matter of public safety.
Some homes have already been evacuated, but there are no details of how many. "The details of the operation will be released at the end of this operation, and we are confident the public will understand why we have taken the steps we have" says Corporal Craig Douglass, media liaison officer with the Prince George RCMP. "There is a public safety concern which is the reason behind the road closures and evacuations. We are doing everything we can to ensure this comes to a safe conclusion."
For the time being, the area closed to access is bounded by Ogilvie from Hammond to Dezell, Dezell from Ogilvie to Quinn, Quinn south to Hammond. The area includes all back alleyways, and Patterson Street.

Ever see the movie “Grumpy Old Men” ?
Second that. Well done Ben! Too many posters on our news sites have no common sense. Pretty intense showdown that is still going on.
OMG! I just realized I know someone living in that area. Hope everyone stays safe.
FYI it’s after 11pm. After being allowed back home I have been watching the proceedings for a few hours now.
As of now the cops are settling in for the night. Looks like this will continue through the night.
The bad guy is holed up and does not appear ready to come out.
Hopefully he will have a change of heart in the morning and this ends quietly
Apparently the neighbourhood is a nice family oriented neighbourhood.
There is a house at the end of the street that has many people coming and going all day and night long. You can immagine what is going on there. The people that frequent the house are shady people that have been proven to bring alot of crime to the neighbourhood.
From what I know most people that live near there are upset that one house continues to damage and harm the neighbourhood in which many good families live.
I am correct in saying that the person that owns the house, and all his druggy friends are Prime loosers.
Sounds like opinion 250 doesn’t agree with opinions. Sounds like freedom of speech being suppressed. For more on this subject watch Sun news. It is becoming a problem in this country because we might offend someone – God forbid!
If you don’t like my opinion, I’m offended.
You’re bang on JoeyTomato.
May I ask which street the house in question is on? I have friends in that neighborhood and it is too late for me to call and see that they are okay. I am just seeing the outline of the area for the first time.
Thank you.
Is it Dezell? Or one of the other streets?
Being that there is nothing new in the news one can assume that it is safe for a lady to be out walking this morning?

Hopefully you’re so offended that you’ll refrain from commenting in the future. Ben is absolutely right. You don’t have a right to type anything you want. If you want to participate on his site, you have to abide by his rules. And if you don’t like it, start up your own site and say whatever you want.
I’m with you Big Bore. Some people have no sense of humour and take life way to serious. Even the question I asked was removed.
“Sounds like opinion 250 doesn’t agree with opinions” – so all of the stupid donut and cop jokes as well as the references to the mayor that were posted were “opinions”? Really?
Opinions or jokes, it doesn’t matter — I was talking about suppression of freedom of speech. That is a Canadian “right”. We are promised that in our Constitution whether you like it or not. If people wish to expose their IQ on line — let it be. It won’t hurt or bother me. I don’t find stupidity offensive.
You just know they have to try out their new toy.
Coming to a neighbourhood near you…
Thank You Ben for moderating. In no way is what you did suppressing the of freedom of speech. It is protecting your private investment from being hijacked and vandalized to the point that no one wants to come and visit.
Cheers
