Another Candidate Dropped

Prince George, B.C. – Another election candidate has been given the boot.
This time, it’s Vancouver- False Creek BC Conservative hopeful Ian Tootill, over comments he made on Twitter.
The comments date back to 2011 when he is quoted as saying: “We men love sluts …"
Another comment, made last October has Tootill saying "Who’s really to blame? Hitler or the people who acted on his words?"
B.C. Conservative leader John Cummins scratched Tootill from the Party’s list of candidates saying “"Mr. Tootill’s comments are completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by the BC Conservative party. We are a party that believes in a respectful airing of views. Mr. Tootill’s statements are unacceptable and downright shameful. He has been fired as a candidate."
Toothill has issued this “tweet” “In heat of an election campaign it’s difficult 4 subtleties 2 be discussed. I do not agree with BCCP decision but I accept it.”
When the election campaign got underway, NDP leader Adrian Dix accepted the resignation of a Kelowna-Mission candidate over comments made on social media, that candidate is now running as an independent in that riding.

Toothill should join the Liberals. Seems everyone else is climbing aboard the SS Sinking!
The Liberals may still win just due to the saturation of the various media with their message. This tactic has proven effective in the past.
The internet never forgets.
That is sad, but who really cares what he said? Offending me doesn’t mean I won’t vote for the most logical party. And how many of you have ever stuck your foot in your own mouth. All of you.
In no way do I condone the comments this fellow made … but … if everyone who ever said something stupid was prohibited from public office it would be a pretty thin field of candidates.
What is said in his personal life should not matter in his professional life. This stuff seems to happen alot. Like having a beer after work at home should not matter. Post a picture of it on facebook and your a teacher there might be problems. Its so dumb.
