Candidate Says NDP Platform No Plan At All.

Wednesday, April 24, 2013 @ 4:57 PM
Prince George, B.C.- The B.C Liberal candidate for Prince George –Mackenzie  says the NDP platform released today, doesn’t seem like a plan at all. “Here we are, one week into the campaign, and the NDP present a plan that is still very vague” says Mike Morris.

The former RCMP Superintendent  points to an example of the New Democrats plan to spend $8 million over 3 years on issues to reduce crime “I can tell you, that from my experience, that doesn’t even scratch the surface.”

Morris says the 68 page document offers no details, “It’s all very vague, leaving B.C. voters in the dark about what their( NDP) plans really are. This is no plan at all, it’s more of a power point presentation.”

The full plan can be accessed here.

And what are the Liberals plans…really? More of the same me thinks. We are tired of the same Morris. More govt for the corporation is worn out in BC, don’t you get it?

Can’t the NDP just copy what your boss (Christy)says everyday ? In 20 years the world will be begging for BC’s natural gas and then the provincial debt will get paid off.

Dragonmaster, Dragon a mythical beast, just like NDP theories and policies.

Even the National Post is having a hard time following Crusty Clark & The Fiberals lies and B.S. This was a tactic used by the last big loser in the USA. Tell so many lies that you give up trying to track them all down. The Liberals do not have enough smoke & mirrors to hide how badly they mismanaged this provinces finances and ballooned the debt so big that their only recourse is to use lies and attack ads to divert your attention away from them. Sorry; not gonna work here.

Ummmm….rattyboy, there really are dragons.

only in your world that was created in you parents basement

I’ve been looking at the campaign signs…I still remember who had the biggest and most expensive signs in our last city election!I recall who tossed the big $$$$ out. How’d that turn out?…we ended up with the biggest spender afterwrds too! If BS was music…the Liberals would be a whole brass band!

The Liberal Platform will be brought in by Hot Air Balloons. There is no shortage of hot air in that Party.

If one looks at the poll on this site, you will note that 86% of the respondents have made up their mind on how they will vote. Having their minds made up this early in the election does not bode well for the Liberals.

All those anti HST people are just chomping at the bit to vote against the Libs.

What goes around comes around.

Palopu: “If one looks at the poll on this site, you will note that 86% of the respondents have made up their mind on how they will vote. Having their minds made up this early in the election does not bode well for the Liberals.”

Half of those respondents probably won’t even cast a vote (other than voting multiple times in online polls), so who knows.

rattyboy….what are you on ? You are sitting at a computer, look up dragons. (Idiot kid)

JohnnyBelt. Nothing to be gained by voting multiple times on the latest poll, so I suggest it is pretty accurate.

The 750000 who voted against the HST were all registered voters, so I would think a large percentage of them would vote.

Having your mind made up early in an election is usually a bad sign for the Government in power.

rattyboy
good one!!

middle finger, you are so sad. I may be an idiot , but I am no kid. google the word dragon….. young man/woman

The lieberal plan. Tax the working man with user fees, decimate the medical system, lie about the budget, BC rail scandal, cover ups. After the antics of the RCMP in the Vcr airport death and resultant cover up lies, Houston and Vanderhoof deaths at the hands of the RCMP, and of course Monty Robinson hanging an RCMP title on a candidate brings no credibility to the table.

No plan is a big step forward from what has been forced down our throats by the lieberals over the past 12 years.

the green party rules

rattyboy, rat a disease infested rodent. Must be a liberal hey?

So many predictable comments from so many of the same people, over and over again!

The Liberals have been doing a pretty crappy job but we have managed to make it through the worst recession that our generation has seen and we’ve come out of it in pretty good shape. In fact, I believe that the latest ratings from the major Bond Rating Agencies are very positive.

Whether or not this site’s predictable posters agree or not, I can’t imagine that we would have our current bond rating if the NDP had been in power during the last 5 years of our recession. I can’t help but think that we would now be a have-not province if the NDP had been at the helm.

Keep the thieves we have or vote in new thieves? Decisions. Decisions.

Tell us how to ruin our environment for money.

What’s so new about the Liberal party as stated on their signs “The New Liberal Party?” Oh, I know, they won’t mention Campbell or Clark. Gordo got his payback by being posted to Britain. I suggest that Crispy get her’s by being posted to Syria.

I cannot and will not vote for a fraud and a lot of other people won’t either.

vote NDP and Pay for it.
Last time they were in power we paid and paid for it in lost business and promises like fast ferries that cost millions that were never designed to operate on the routes they were built for.
NDP don’t want foreign workers yet in our area we have union people working on campaigns that never paid any dues in our area locals that are being paid to work on campaigns in this area. I guess the people in our area will just close there eyes.

I have voted every conceivable party over the past four decades. I have seen every conceivable fruit cake idea from the parties I voted for.
At this point in time, the fruit cake ideas are coming from everyone trying to replace the current government, the BC Liberals.
I will vote for them since that group will stay the course and work at making things better without putting my grand kids in debt.

Palopu: “JohnnyBelt. Nothing to be gained by voting multiple times on the latest poll, so I suggest it is pretty accurate.”

You’re pretty naïve if you think online polls are in any way scientific or accurate.

“The 750000 who voted against the HST were all registered voters, so I would think a large percentage of them would vote.”

55% voted against the HST, 45% voted for. I suspect a large portion of those 45% who supported the HST will also vote.

“Having your mind made up early in an election is usually a bad sign for the Government in power.”

Kind of like your constant predictions that the Liberals are done? (I think you’re right on that one at least).

Fast Cat Ferries 400 million. Sold for 19 million. Enough said..Im voting Liberals.

The spin, the spin, the spin.

Depends on how much Shirley wants it. Out of 20 people living here. If I vote, that’s a lot of people isn’t.

So really if nobody votes, then my vote really counts big time doesn’t. So how much is it worth to Mrs Bond, what’s she going to do for me?

I don’t wanna here her say her government is going to build a bitumen pipeline. I want to hear how much money we are going to make growing Cannabis.

Give me your daughter and I might think about it.

So sick of it, wrong people running the show.

We need good people. People that know how and what struggle is. How to climb through the ranks. Not cheaters, thieves, and corporatist pigs.

Big difference from the crowd at Books&Company to the big hum dig at Shirley Bonds office with good ol Christy Cluck.

I got to admit we got a nice jail being built downtown eh. Better then the one downtown Vancouver for sure.

Lets build a big coliseum. Gladiators, let them kill each other for all to see. Bring back a time where one appreciated freedom.

I have never voted for socialists or left wing bozos. I will vote for anyone but those two, except the Greens — they won’t get my vote either. They want us to shut down all the industries and go back to horse and buggys and eat wild meat and frozen veggies, get rid of the modern conveniences like TV, gas furnace, electricity, etc.. They’re just so hypocritical it’s ludicrous.

ProCannabis, after seeing your gazillion posts, I now understand why you are the poster boy for the campaign to NOT legalize marijuana. Man, lay off the pot, at least for a day or so!

Hart guy eh, hmmm

How can we really count the Hart and College Heights as Prince George, BC really, really! The bowl is really PG I think. It’s what the real ghetto is really like, Hart Guy.

I say do you’re little no important really job, and let people like me rule the world.

Me wonders being so close to Bear lake or closer, do you really care if they run a bitumen pipeline through that area? Makes me wonder where this is all going soon.

IMO we can’t say much on this site, or it gets deleted.

The big elephant in the room should be the Alternate Approval Process the provincial government allows for municipalities to rob property owners with.

For me that’s the biggest issue for the election. The rest is all just back ground noise from the political science crowd that live off the party system that corrupts our democracy.

If Mr Morris is so smart than why didn’t we have any openness and transparency, much less accountability while he was North District Superintendent with cases like the Ian Bush murder? Is that the level of accountability we should expect once he is elected as well?

Rattyboy ….

please educate yourself

http://animals.nationalgeographic.com/animals/reptiles/komodo-dragon

And watch out. Komodo Dragons love rats as an appetizer.

“As the dominant predators on the handful of islands they inhabit, they will eat almost anything, including carrion, deer, pigs, smaller dragons, and even large water buffalo and humans.

“When hunting, Komodo dragons rely on camouflage and patience, lying in wait for passing prey. When a victim ambles by, the dragon springs, using its powerful legs, sharp claws and serrated, shark-like teeth to eviscerate its prey.”

For someone who is a Dragonmaster, Ratty Boys make great toys. ;-)

Those aren’t Dragons Gus! Dragons fly and breath fire!

Wow – I turned the computer on, saw 45 comments and thought some meaningful debate must have went on here last night. As it turns out all I missed was a two hour info-mercial for “kids, dont do drugs”

If you care about business in our area, vote for MLA’s that will be on the winning team. Do you really want to vote for losers?

Does PG really want to have MLA’s that sit in opposition while some really big projects come to this area?

Do we really want to pay our MLA while she spends time in court answering questions about BC Rail and the Wood Innovation Centre?

herb: “Does PG really want to have MLA’s that sit in opposition while some really big projects come to this area?”

It’s either that, or we get NDP backbenchers whose voices aren’t heard. We have been spoiled in this region with Bell and Bond, although many don’t realize it. Just wait to see what the difference is if Deepak and Ogasawara get in.

Or maybe vote for candidates who have spent more than 3 days of their lives in the region.

Lois Boone – 86-91 PG north; 91-2001 – PG Mt. Robson

15 years in office, can anyone recall what she and Paul Ramsey did for Prince George during the time they were our representatives?

I do recall that she erred on the side of religious freedom rather than public safety when she introduced an exemption to the helmet law.

12 years of Pat and Shirley?

– Cancer Clinic (the original going to Kelowna in 1998 under the NDP)

– Meds school

– Fraser River bridge twinning

– Cariboo Connector started with considerable 4 laning immediately to south of PG

– Duchess Park rebuild

– Wood Innovation Centre

All that and more in part during the worst economic recession in many decades which includes a decimation of the US lumber market and a MPB catastrophy of which we have yet to see the worst of in this region.

Do I trust the NDP based on their record with two local NDP MLAs going into the predicted downturn in pine harvest? Of course not!

Just say no to these losers and their history of:

-Additional $33 billion of BC debt
-Breaking their own balanced budget law repeatedly.
-One billion dollars of smart meters
-Pacific Carbon Trust
-Obstruction of Auditor General
-Admitted failed policy of reduced corporate tax rates
-The end of Appurtenancy
-Shutdown of Upper Fraser Mill
-Shutdown of North Central Plywood
-The sale of BC Rail, and the loss of over 150 well paying jobs in PG
-Six million of hush money to Basi and Virk
-The misuse of $100 million BC Rail money for
-Airport Renovation (waste of money)
-Airport Runway extension (waste of money)
-Bobtail overpass (waste of money)
-New Upper Fraser Bridge(waste of money)
-Money to build an office building aka
Wood Innovation Centre to be rented out
to private companies
-Sunray Pulp fiasco
-deals on local golf course to privatize liquor distribution

Oh, almost forgot the HST. If you want to reward these clowns, you already are. They are both on track for million dollar pensions. Time to look ahead, and leave these losers behind.

gus..are you talking about the promised 12 storey innovation… that is now the 6 storey one ?

Carbon tax is a joke, big corperations sell and buy them to each other and yet schools have to pay a carbon tax.

Clarks $500,000 visa bill double of all former premiers.

You forgot to list all the schools the liberals shut down

Also about the liberals violating the contract they had with the teachers.

Herbster …. I looked over that list and you forgot their history of giving us a longer than normal winter this year. ;-)

P Val …… you are like that commonwealth fellow and his wannabee partner ….. can’t tell what is a promise from what is an early vision which is altered when the reality such as codes sets in.

If you did a bit of research, which very few people here do, you would have known that the vision was changed when PartnershipsBC went out for an expression of interest, mentioning the 10 storey idea and the overwhelming response by engineers came back to not do that, that height is not the important criteria, the total building area based on need was.

In addition, this is intended to be a “thinktank” environment of sorts, thus appropriate organizations would be encouraged to reside in the same building because they would be working on integrated projects which have to be brought to market.

I know, it is a unique concept that other countries have embraced for some time. It is one of the concepts that Canada also needs to embrace more than they do.

P Val: “You forgot to list all the schools the liberals shut down”

Let alone the fact that school closures are the responsibility of the District, are you saying the NDP would have kept every school open despite declining enrollment in pretty much every district? Really?

herbster,

I have gout, can I blame that on them as well?

Try refuting at least one of my points if you have the intellectual capacity to do so. It is sad but telling that you think that long list is a joke. What is comedic is that you would even think of voting Lieberal again.

Then again gout is a sign of physical laziness, which quite often accompanies intellectual laziness.

Herbster wrote: “Then again gout is a sign of physical laziness …”

If that is what you think gout is caused by, there is no use in dealing with your opinions expressed though the list you provided.

You are simply one of thse who creates your own truths without applying logic and a reasonable depth of exploration for knowledge.

There is no normal discourse availabe with such an individual.

Gout Prevention

Both lifestyle changes and medications can decrease uric acid levels. Dietary and lifestyle choices that are effective include reducing intake of food such as meat and seafood, consuming adequate vitamin C, limiting alcohol and fructose consumption, and avoiding obesity.[2] A low-calorie diet in obese men decreased uric acid levels by 100 µmol/l (1.7 mg/dl).[18] Vitamin C intake of 1,500 mg per day decreases the risk of gout by 45%.[31] Coffee, but not tea, consumption is associated with a lower risk of gout.[32] Gout may be secondary to sleep apnea via the release of purines from oxygen-starved cells. Treatment of apnea can lessen the occurrence of attacks.[33]
