Prince George, B.C. – The Nechako Rotary Club of Prince George is all set to go with its annual garage sale this weekend.
The event is being held today and tomorrow, 7am to 4pm both days, in front of Studio 2880 on 15th Avenue. All proceeds
are going towards the Salvation Army’s Mobile Crisis Response Unit. The Mobile Unit provides support for major accidents and other emergency situations. It arrived in Prince George just a few days before the Lakeland Mills explosion and fire last year and was put into use immediately. The unit is also used by the Salvation Army for situations that arise throughout the northern region.

Last year the Rotary garage sale raised over 3-thousand-dollars, and organizers are hoping to do as well again this time around. As well, organizer Lisa Redpath tells us that the Nechako Rotary Club has one particular member who has come up with an absolutely stupendous breakfast sandwich, and that she says beats the fast food joints hands down! So you can get some growlies into your system starting at 7 a.m. both today and tomorrow.
The donation of items going into the sale has take place over the past two weeks. However, if you have items you would like to donate you can still do so by contacting Lisa Redpath at
250-614-8231 or Ken Pendergast at 250-552-4770, and they’ll let you know how you can go
about arranging the drop-off.
