Power Advisories From BC Hydro

Prince George, B.C. – B.C. Hydro says it expects to restore power to a total of 11 areas in Prince George, Mackenzie and Quesnel by four this afternoon.
 
The storm that made its way through this part of the province this morning left one outage in Mackenzie. It will be back on by 3pm. Quesnel has four outages affecting 229 customers. Hydro says all will be back on by 4pm.
 
There are six outages in and around Prince George. An outage east of Bench Drive, north of Otway and southwest of North Nechako affects 83 homes. They should have power by 3pm, as should the 31 customers without power south of Leslie Road and east of Blackwater. And 24 customers north of 18th, south of 15th, east of Lyon and west of Central should also have power around 3pm.
 

Hydro says power will be back on at 4pm for the following areas: east of the Beaver Forest Service Road (276 customers), south of the Willow Cale Forest Road and west of Highway 97 (144), and in the 34000 block Blackwater Road (5).

What are you talking about?

BCRacer – no meter, smart or otherwise, is going to prevent a wind storm from taking down a power line. They were never intended to prevent most outages, only help with detecting and analyzing them for quicker restoration.
