Fine Start To Farmers’ Market
The Prince George Farmers’ Market begins its 17th outdoor season at Wilson Square
Prince George, BC – Vendor, Christine Morley, has summed it up best, saying, "It seems like winter ended with the start of the Farmers’ Market, so that couldn’t be better."
Today’s market signals the start of the 17th outdoor season. Morley and her husband, Dan, live in Hansard, one hour east of Prince George. While the couple took last summer off, they’ve been selling their ‘McGregor Mountain Farm’ products, which includes birch syrup, at the Prince George Farmers’ Market for six years.
A new twist this year is the location of the indoor market. No longer kitty-corner to Wilson Square, the indoor market spent its first winter in its new location on 6th Avenue behind The Keg restaurant. It will continue to run through the summer months, as well.
Morley is really hopeful that market-goers will see the stroll between the two venues as part of the whole experience of attending the Saturday event, rather than choosing one site over the other.
"Now that it’s further away, I’m hoping people will enjoy taking the walk and see it as a fun event and hoping they embrace both."

Sorry, the writing in this article is ambiguous. “Saturday evening”? Isn’t the indoor market open during the day as well? And what time is the outdoor market open? That would be very useful info to put in an article about the Market opening….
whippedscream you might have think this one out a bit but I would guess that what was meant is event instead of evening…. just a guess.
