I know I’m going to hear back on this one but I’m tired of the RCMP closing highways for hours on end when they can shield the scene and route traffic through. I sure hope everyone will be okay. I feel sorry for the shoppers from MacKenzie and further north have to sit on the highway foir six hours before they can head home. Okay, beat me up.
Your personal convenience really should take priority.
But, you know if it was someone you knew or cared about, you might want as thorough an investigation done as possible. So, check DriveBC before you head out so you are aware of any problems that may complicate your trip.
I agree with above. I dont care how long it takes for them to do there accident reconstruction and removal of the poor persons properly. If it was a member of ur family or friend im sure u too would appreciate the time and respect it took to handle them with as much care and attention they deserve or deserved at their final hours. Sometimes these accidents also require investigation to see who is at fault which requires the rcmp to do alot of work to make sure they get it right. Again a job im sure one would appreciate the time taken to do it right should it of been their family member or friend. I feel sorry for the the family who lost their loved one today and i for one am going to be patient and wait the time it will take them to do the job right. Prayers to their family and friends.
It’s called not disturbing the evidence, it’s how things need to be done.
Next time maybe the RCMP can just have the hiways dept come by with a large loader and push the mess aside so as not to inconvenience your ever more important life.Or perhaps next time you could take a moment to think of how the family feels with the RCMP standing on their doorstep informing them a loved one is dead while you post about how upset you are a road is closed . I have had that visit by the RCMP 3 times in my life , and that is 3 times too many . If I sound harsh that is because I am looking at it from the families point of view. A little compassion and understanding goes a long way , and hopefully you never have to get that visit from the local Police.

How important are the lives of the other motorists sharing the highways of these speeders? How many lives did this fellow (with all due respect to his family and friends) put at risk with the speed? My son was on his way to work and probably met this truck shortly before the accident. In the past month a van full of 5 family members killed by a speeder in the Vancouver area?
If these peopleâs lives are important than slow the heck down and then we may not have delays.
Yes,I have to say from being a passenger in a wreck on that same highway and lying there with my head out the broken out window while listening to all the traffic pass by,it is the most helpless of feelings. You just pray one of those vehicles will stop to help eventually.I don’t even know if the RCMP even closed the highway or did a thorough investigation with our accident, but as a result of my own experience with our crash,I don’t have an issue with the cops closing the highway.
