Vanderhoof, B.C.- There are to be more parking changes at the St. John Hospital as renovation work proceeds.
Effective today, and for up to six weeks, the front parking lot at St. John Hospital will be closed and the main vehicle entrance will be available only for BC Ambulance Service and emergency patient drop-off.
Visitors and patients accessing the Lab and Diagnostic Imaging departments are asked to park in the upper lot at the rear of the hospital, and to use the rear hospital entrance between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., the front entrance of the hospital will be open to foot traffic, but vehicle parking will not be available.
Having said that, visitors, patients and staff have been advised to watch for the signs as instructions are expected to change from week to week depending on the renovation work.
St. John Hospital staff should park in the temporary parking lot behind the Public Health office, adjacent to the cemetery.
