Prince George, B.C. – A wildfire in a wood lot northwest of Prince George is now 85% contained.

The fire was first reported around 11:00 this morning and is said to have started in at least one of the slash piles  on a timber lot at the end of Discovery Road near Pilot Mountain.

The Wildfire Management Branch says there are crews on the ground working this blaze, and they are being assisted by an air tanker and two helicopters.
