Power Outages Mount in Central Interior

Prince George, B.C. – More than three thousand B.C. Hydro customers in the central interior are now without power as a storm bearing high winds enters the region.

 

B.C. Hydro reports 3275 customers in 19 areas out right now. That includes locations on the Hart Highway, Tallus Road, Corning Island, Vivian Lake Road, Summit Lake, McLeod Lake, Mackenzie and out to Fraser Lake. Outages are also reported up north in Pouce Coupe.
 
Hydro hopes to have power restored this afternoon.

 

There is still a severe thunderstorm watch for the Prince George area.
