Dix Makes "Whistle Stop" in P.G

Monday, May 13, 2013 @ 3:49 PM

Prince George, B.C. –  About 80 supporters  chanted "N-D-P, N-D-P" as  party leader Adrian Dix and his wife,  emerged from a private jet  in a  stop over in Prince George this afternoon.  Dix was  visiting 14 ridings  in a 24 hour push that started at 8 this morning in Courtney,  and will end tomorrow morning  when  the  tour bus drops everyone off at  the Hilton Metrotown in Burnaby  just before  the polls open at 8 a.m.

He told the Prince George crowd,   the "time for change has never been better" and reminded those on ground of his party’s platform  on  forestry,  health care and skills training.

Dix was not the only  party leader  hop-scotching the  province today.

Premier Christy Clark  was campaigning in Surrey, Delta, Ladner, Saanichton, Saanich, Oak Bay, Vancouver, and Burnaby along with participating in a telephone town hall this evening.

Oh is it ever time for change, Libs can’t do anything but attack, the NDP leader. They have to many of Harpers people running their show and looks like it will burn them. And why not 12 years time to say good bye

Hope this vote goes the same as the HST vote. LIEberals lose in ALL 85 ridings. That will be so hilarious. Kind of dejavue or something. Then after tuesday is finished, we will not have to listen to christy LIE to us any more. Or hear any more attack ads that are going to back fire just like HST did to them. Again HILARIOUS. It is also the HST that caused this DEFEAT for the LIEberals. The last straw you could say. Or the last nail in thier stinking corrupt coffin. Just remember gordon and his arrogant smirk when he was telling you that he is introducing HST. Just 2 months after the last election. And hansen too. Will be great to see the last of these arrogant, corrupt, corporation loving traitors called the BC liberals. After tuesday next thing taxpayers should do is start boycotting the MSM. Make them go broke by cancelling any subsriptions you may have. It is because of them that we had to live with this group running the show for the last 12 years. Just stop giving them your money and watch how fast things will change here in BC. It is time for the province to be returned to the people. Please get to the voting booth tomorow and help remove the LIE-berals. Vote for anything but them. We did it with HST. We can do it again now and get rid of them for ever. Enough is enough. All 85 ridings.

Holy Crap ! Can I have a look at the pilots books !

Hey! This didnt hit the news until after! I guess the NDP is scared of a protest group showing up!!
(or at least thats what NDP’rs said when Christie Clark showed up for the construction bbq ;)

(Whoops…250 crowd)my point is simply that 14 ridings in 24 hours is rather impressive…..

Time to get NDP back in…seems like a person could have a job then.

Liberals will win.

I don’t think so, Grizzly 1

I can’t vote for a guy whose integrity isn’t worth a $2.00 Translink ticket. What to do,what to do.

As a person who lost a family member to a drunk driver, I lost all respect for the Liberals when they didn’t get rid of Campbell when he was convicted of DUI.
That, along with the HST lie, the BC Rail scandal, shuffled to the side at a cost of$6,000,000 has caused me to believe the Liberals’ performance has not been good enough. I find it hard to believe anything the Liberals say. They deserve to be fired
I believe this crowd of liars has no respect for the people of BC.

looks like bobby could use a bigger jacket.

About 80 clueless idiots chanted ” N.D.P., N.D.P…” before shuffling off to vote the province into a recession.

karmann:”I lost all respect for the Liberals when they didn’t get rid of Campbell when he was convicted of DUI.”

He apologized, ran again and was re-elected! On the other hand, document forging however is a very serious matter.

You never had any respect for the Liberals. Do you have respect for people who forge documents?

I want to know how 80 teachers got time off in the middle of the day.

Dix was asked by Sun News if he was going to pay his severance back. Simple “Yes” or “No” question which he deflected and blamed the liberals on. This is what you have look forward to if this bozo becomes premier.

Actually oldcoot, I drove my bus downtown and in 7 minutes I had 80 Po’D forestry workers I took to the airport.

How do you feel when you look at a picture of the next premier of British Columbia??

I will vote for Christy tomorrow,
If your ambitious, you vote for Christy.
If you would like to have your own business
you vote for Christy.
I remember last time the NDP got in, they
told the unions, umm dont expect any favors
now that we are in,lol. But up until that election the unions thought they were going to get more. Well they got less, because
half the unionized businesses close their
doors. many jobs were lost.

Don’t care for the Liberals and swore I would never vote NDP again. The last time was so bad.
Guess I will vote green.

Time to get NDP back in…seems like a person could have a job then.

If you can’t get a job in this economy, in PG, you need to look in the mirror! Of course, youll have to pass the “pee in the cup” test!

Tell me middlefinger how the Liberals are responsible for the collapse of the US economy in 2008.

Tell me middlefinger how the Liberals are responsible for the collapse of the US economy in 2008.

Tell me old coot how any BC political party control’s the price of commodities….what the heck is your question ? Letting any U.S. crackhead borrow a quarter of a million dollars for a mortgage and saturating a crumbling housing market with phony capital is really stretching this BC Liberal vs. BC NDP argument to the extreme. Please carry on, suddenly I am completely intrigued.

OK I’ll try again. What specifically did the Liberals do that killed the forest industry?

What did the Liberals do to PO the eighty forestry workers?

I can answer that question oldcoot. Raw logs all being sent to china and closing all our mills here. How’s that.

Only other problem with that arrangement is the stupid people here buy the stuff they make from YOUR logs. Anything made in china should be boycotted and left to rot on the shelf.

I will vote for the party that reduces the tax back to 7 percent for privately sold vehicles.

mattyc,

best stick to your other rants, you dont have a clue with this one.

mattyc are you trying to tell me there were no raw log exports when the NDP were in power?

mattyc you and Dix both figure if you rip off society its OK.
Him taking free ride on the transit and you with your under the table dealing. If you were not paying taxes I guess you wouldn’t have needed to pay HST so I don’t know how it ever cost you. Dix forges documents and gets pay package and you skip paying taxes I guess good NDP members feel its the norm or is it just a few. Anyway if NDP get in get prepared to move because no one will have money especially money to pay under the table

Wow a private jet? Who paid for that?

Don’t Steal: The Government Hates Competition

Mattyc, stick to your anti-hst rants as you do not have a clue as to what killed the forest industry & closed down some mills.

Premier Dix ….. such a classy sounding name we may be stuck with.

That alone should cause some people to think about how they will vote.

================================
I agree with those who have met with Clark and Dix who say that Clark, in how she conducts herself, is better suited to the job.

Dix refuses to give clear answers to basic questions. Clark is direct; she
acknowledges past mistakes of her party which, after all, were not her mistakes but that of a premier who did not even have the sense to step down when he should have.

On the other hand, in Dix’s world, the NDP is without flaws. Clark is warm and engaging, Dix is said to be jumpy, combative and condescending.

Clark carries herself like a premier; Dix behaves like the hyper policy nerd he’s been for some time.

Dix is no Barrett or Harcourt. On the national and international stage, Clark is the stronger leader.

I apologize, I didn’t answer your question old coot. A decade didn’t the government gut the forestry dept ? Fine, looks good on paper, then, last year John Rustad jumps up and admits that we havn’t got a clue what BC has for harvestble timber. We got rid of the people that tracked inventory 10 years ago.

By this time tomorrow the NDP WILL be elected. Not IF as never said. Get used to it. The NDP is going to be running things and if you want to move then do whatever you gotta do I suppose. The time for IF has long expired I would say. These lies about how the LIEberals suddenly are equal or just behind is absolute BS. They are toast and you know it and so does every other taxpayer in BC. It is the LIE-berals own fault by lying about the HST last time. That is why gordon resigned is it not? Or have the LIE-berals made up a new spin for that story now? The right wing are on the way out finally and I hope the LIEberals lose every one of the 85 ridings. Just like they got in the referendum. Goodbye snooki.

Gus – “Premier Dix ….. such a classy sounding name we may be stuck with.

That alone should cause some people to think about how they will vote.”

You ain’t whistling Dixie ;)

“Wow a private jet? Who paid for that?”

Maybe Glenn Clark, president of the Jim Pattison Group. ;-)

Seems Glen Clark was an NDP premier who now runs one of the largest private companies for a fellow named Jimmie. Not bad for a guy who was a member of a party that supposedly has no fiscal responsibility.

Christy smiles and talks about a debt free BC in 15 years but has managed to add 11 billion dollars to the provincial debt in only 2 years. Now that is real fiscal responsibility.

Real good idea there matty to stop all log exports. Do you realize how many jobs in the logging, transportation and dock related labour that would eliminate.

When Skeena Cellulose finally died despite the NDP pouring hundreds of millions of tax dollars into it the sawmills in the area were also no longer that competitive as they lost a place to sell chips and hog fuel which in hard times is what keeps the mills afloat.

I’m sure people out west are happy to have a market for their logs and the good paying jobs that go with it. As the timber supply in this area is reduced because of the BK our sawmills may be looking that way for logs, keeping local mills running.

Technology improvements means modern mills also employ a lot less people than they once did. Computers are even grading the lumber and making the trim decisions in the planers.

Further it was also the Chinese market that kept many local mills running over the last few years. Without them a bunch of mills would have been mothballed while waiting for the US housing market to recover.

Could you imagine if Sherry wins….we’ll probably be forced to eat Broccoli….another reason to vote Liberal ;)

HaHaHa…..Cheetos on broccoli….mmmmmmm

Mr. dicks galavanting all over the province in a private jet? Who does he think he is? Al Gore, the Donald , David yamaha? Who pays and gets the carbon credits for all this greenhouse gas and don’t forget the vapor trails? C’mon Dix, ‘fess up. Can’t “shovel money” off the back of a jet, eh? Too bad.

On the second thought, after this provincial
campaign…we probably could all use a little extra broccoli… -;)

It is too bad that the NDP policy document did not slip out a bit earlier in the campaign….nationalize the independent power producers and close all private beer and wine stores.

Dix is no Barrett, Harcourt or Clark more like Hugo Chavez.

According to the Vancouver press Dix is genus Mustela of the Mustelidae family…with a thick layer of Brylcreem:D

There seems to be a misconception here that the Liberals are from a different mold than the NDP. These two parties are socialist opportunists. Neither of them deserve our votes. If you really want to vote for change, you cannot choose either of them. Choose Daffy Duck and you will have a better government than these two “ships of fools”. Remember, when they screw up, which should be a week after the election; Big Bore told you so.

Resident:

“Seems Glen Clark was an NDP premier who now runs one of the largest private companies for a fellow named Jimmie.”

Is he running it in the way that Jimmy built the company or the way that Clark ran the province??? Thought so!

Back in the nineties when the NDP and the unions took over the Province for their ten year reign of disaster there was a flyer circulating offering some guidance to surviving an NDP government.

It went like this:

Don’t succeed, they prefer losers.

Don’t aspire. They view that as taking on airs.

Don’t acquire. They’ll just come and take it away.

Don’t compete. You might beat someone and hurt their feelings.

Don’t be self responsible. If you don’t rely on them, you must be their enemy.

Don’t assume you’re safe. You aren’t, not until they’re thrown out of office.

Even the marijuana party would be a better choice than dix

After reading all the comments one after another, it sure comes across very clearly how liberal supporters have become such sore losers with their very nasty personal attacks on Dix.

Its the final count down… dunna nu nu nah nah..

That’s all LIEberals can do is personally attack. It’s the same way in everything they do or have done for the last 12 years. Just bully. That’s how to get er dun. Like the HST being rammed into BC 2 months after the last election. Oh well by tomorrow we should not have to hear any more from the LIEberals. If all goes well they should be swept out of office by tonight. Hopefully in all 85 ridings. Good riddance to all LIEberals and hope the upcoming BC Rail inquiry will be able to do something to them. It is personal with these LIEberals, so hopefully that can be turned against them. They should be held personally responsible for selling BC Rail. Would be FANTASTIC to see gordon and christy forced to answer for what they did to the voters of BC. Goodbye snooki and your HST. Hope you enjoyed robbing the people for the last 12 years.

Oh goody, the NDP braintrust finally crawled out of bed.

Blah blah blah blah…LIEberals blah blah blah.. LIEberals blah blah.. LIEberals LIEberals…blah blah… LIEberals LIEberals blah bhal.. LIEberals.. blah blah bhla.. LIEberals LIEberals LIEberals LIEberals LIEberals LIEberals LIEberals

Thats about how rediculous Mattyc’s posts sound.. Yes we get the bloody point!!

Ammonra: “After reading all the comments one after another, it sure comes across very clearly how liberal supporters have become such sore losers with their very nasty personal attacks on Dix.”

You must be skimming over mattyc’s posts then. Take off your orange-tinted glasses.

God help us all if Dix gets elected!!!

We are on the road to economic suicide but once the NDP gets in, it will turn around, just as it did in the 90’s. In the 90’s, BC had problems because of economic the meltdown in Japan, our major Asian trading partner. Luckily we had astute leaders who started increasing the trade with China. By the time the NDP lost the election to the lying Campbell and the BC Liberals, BC had a billion dollar surplus. We have seen one since. The BC Liberals continually run deficits.
