Prince George, B.C.- RCMP investigators are on the scene where   human remains have been discovered.

The remains were discovered yesterday afternoon by a couple of local hikers in the area   WSW of Tyner Boulevard, not far from the turn off to the University of Northern B.C.’s bio-energy plant.

RCMP worked the scene till well into last night, and have returned to the scene this morning. At this point there is no identification available.   RCMP say  that due to the level of decomposition, it appears  the remains have been there for a significant amount of time.

The Coroners Service is also participating in this investigation.
