Prince George- A man who police say has been involved in more than 40 Prince George RCMP investigations, Steven Lenard Abela, 56 , has been arrested once again.
Abela and a 44 year old woman, Darlene Joseph were picked up earlier this week at a motel room in the 1500 block of Victoria. A quantity of Cocaine, cash and other paraphernalia was seized.
Both people have now been charged with trafficking. Police say they are both well known to them.
Most of the investigations relate to drug trafficking, with some criminal convictions.

40 convictions? I’m sure he’s just a misunderstood family man down on his luck. Better give him another chance…
Sorry, should say 40 “investigations”
At least it gets some drugs off the street but this is ridiculous. Maybe we should have that rule that some of the states have: 3 strikes and you’re out. 40 convictions???!!! Come on Judges, grow some (you know what) and set a precedent.
Do the cops have a made up rubber stamp with this guy’s name on it? Could save them from getting “writer’s cramp” when dealing with this guy.
I don’t think it said 40 convictions
exactly balboa – maybe the poor guy is just a victim of circumstances and just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time…. FORTY TIMES
lol
Is there even cocaine in cocaine anymore?
Does he get a prize for 40 investigations, such as platinum seating arrangements at the courtroom or a T shirt that says ” 40 Investigations and all I got was this lousy T shirt”. I am sure Mr Abela will get a chance to go for 41 soon enough.
Doubt Abela or Joseph will be given bail, both have history.
18 mos. probation and a day in jail.
Hey Harb, I said it first.
Misguided unfortunate souls, eh? Hopefully Dan the man catches this trial or sentencing and does the right thing.
Cynicism is very contagious, eh? If we ever get the freedom to elect judges, a hangin’ judge will be at the top of the list. Probation and a day? Don’t forget the usual firearms ban for ten years. A must condition.
Costs too much money to house an inmate folks…..Cheaper to let them run around wild!
Good point hammy, according to this source, it cost and average $113,974 a year to house an inmate.
