Prince George, BC – More than 200 students are expected to accept their parchment at the College of New Caledonia’s 2013 convocation ceremony set for this Saturday.
Students will receive certificates and diplomas from a number of programs including: business and management; academic foundation and human services; health sciences; and technologies and trades.
One of the highlights of Saturday’s ceremony will include CNC’s first graduating class from the Medical Radiography Technology diploma program. The two year program began in 2011 with a goal of increasing the number of qualified medical radiography technologists in the north and throughout the province . They are trained to use computer generated images to help Radiologists make medical diagnosis.
CNC President John Bowman says the number of students participating in the graduation is only a fraction of those who actually graduate every year. Many cannot participate because of work and other commitments.

Congratulations to another group of committed people with an eye to their future …
How many will have to leave town to find meaningful employment? … when will PG employers stop recruiting/advertising for applicants with years of experience for entry level positions?
