Madison Scott Disappearance Reaches Second Anniversary

Saturday, May 25, 2013 @ 6:02 AM
Vanderhoof, B.C. – The second anniversary of the disappearance of Madison Scott is approaching, and police continue searching for the one clue that will reveal what happened to the young Vanderhoof woman.
On Saturday, May 28th, 2011 20-year-old “Maddy” Scott disappeared from a party at Hogsback Lake, about 25 kilometres south of Vanderhoof.   She was last seen around 3 am. Her truck and tent were at the lake, but police have not been able to locate Maddy, her keys or her cell phone.

The Scott family is holding a Poker Ride today at Hogsback Lake to mark the second anniversary of the disappearance. Meantime police continue to actively investigate the case and are convinced someone has information about what happened that night. They ask that person to come forward and also ask anyone who may know anything about Maddy’s disappearance to call the Vanderhoof RCMP detachment at 250-567-2222 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-2228477.

Can anyone tell me where the respect for human life has gone? My question is not only for Maddy, but all those women on the highway of tears!

A lady named LeeAnn Durand claims she saw Maddy at Cluculz Creek rest area after that. Don’t know if this is true but this what she claims.

It must be quite painful to the family of Madison Scott that she has not been found. I don’t beleive that her disappearance has to do with the so called Hiway of Tears, because if that was the case, then the missing man of 2008 that was discovered just last week would also be in that category, and that would mean that it is not just about missing women. It’s about everyone in a round Hwy 16 east to west.

Someone somewhere knows something. At the very least submit an anonymous tip letting authorities know where her body (if she is deceased) can be found. Give this family some much needed closure.

You need to educate yourself about the Highway of Tears cases. These are young women who have gone missing near Highway 16. The young man who’s remains were found in the bush on a trail within Prince George city limits would not fall in to this category. 1) he I a male, 2) his disappearance did not fit the typical MO for Highway of Tears Cases and 3) it was reported in 2008 that he contacted someone the day of his disappearance to say he was lost in the woods, a ground as aural search was conducted at the time did not locate him but it is clear, based on the discovery of his remains that this was true and he would have died of natural causes. His case is not in any way mysterious nor would there be any connection between it and a Highway of Tears case.

Time for you to do some reading about Highway of Tears.
