New Wall Recognizes Contributions to Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation

Prince George, B.C.- The Spirit of the North Healthcare foundation has unveiled it’s new Donor Wall, which officially recognizes generous gifts from corporations, organizations and residents.

“Giving is an investment that has tremendous impact on a lot of people” says Darren Masse, President of the Spirit Board. “When we invest together in the things that uphold us and sustain us, we create wealth for our loved ones, and we strengthen the social and economic fabric of our region. We are proud to recognize our donors generous giving and to showcase them on the donor wall in the UHNBC atrium.”

In designing the wall, the Foundation worked closely with Peter George and Clayton Gauthier from the Wet’suwet’en First Nation and Nak’azdli First Nation respectively. They also designed and carved the helping hands carving prominently located in the middle of the wall. Some features of the donor wall include stars, which in Carrier culture are named after people who ‘watch over the community’; and salmon, symbolizing prosperity which will represent donors who commit to a future gift to the Foundation.

“…and salmon symbolizing prosperity blah, blah, blah…” In this day and age truer words were never spoken. Just think how prosperous you would have to be to afford to purchase salmon nowadays. Way to go, folks. Carry on.

Yep, corporate greed assisted by govt will ensure the only salmon left on the planet will be the animated version on the test screen of your Fish finder equipment!

In the future only rich people will be able to afford to eat fish. For the rest of us? Maybe fish flavoured tofu sticks. Yum yum.
