Let the grow-op busting season begin.
A little frustrating to see the cops using tax dollars to continue to try to bust up one of BC’s growth industries … as a non-using old timer, even I can see the argument to legalize, control and tax … probably less harmful than the gambling industry … will be interesting to see what happens when Washington states legal grow-ops come online
Feeling the heat of the lower mainland drug squads they come up here to try their luck and add to OUR crime statistics when they get busted. It’s illegal and yet they try to get away with breaking the law.
Making marijuana illegal just fills up the courts and prisons, funds organized crime, and impairs civil liberties.
I don’t care if it’s legal or not, but the government wouldn’t make much by making it legal. Anyone with half a brain and a greenhouse can grow their own. There would just be a whole new black market.
Don’t use the stuff, but don’t see any harm in a small greenhouse full of the stuff legalized for personal use. Sick of the gangs making money on it.
Can’t see how it impairs civil liberties unless the BCCLA is using it. Hey, maybe that’s their problem…………
Anyone with half a brain and a greenhouse can grow their own.

True .. but the same could be said for tomatoes and tobacco and we still buy them at the store
They were probably more concerned about the electricity theft. wich in itself is a surefired way to get caught.
“Anyone with half a brain and a greenhouse can grow their own”
The thing to keep in mind is that the ones with half a brain are more likely the ones who get caught.
I’m really worried now. We have had political stories with no MattyC and now this story with no Procannibus. Do we need to file missing person reports?
No, interceptor… I think they’re still stunned from the election. Mattyc’s prediction of an 85 seat NDP sweep fell a little short.
