Wednesday, June 5, 2013 @ 10:35 AM
Kamloops, BC-  A 25 year old Kamloops woman is recovering from a gunshot wound to her arm after being hit by a stray bullet.

According to Kamloops RCMP the woman was in her   basement suite along with her 32 year old husband and 5 year old daughter last evening when there  was an altercation in the suite upstairs. Police say  a shot was fired upstairs,  the bullet came through to the basement suite and hit the woman in the arm.

Police converged on the scene and went to the upstairs suite where they located a 34-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman. The male is believed to be one of the two men involved in the initial altercation and the female is an acquaintance known to both men. Both the man and the young woman were brought to the Kamloops RCMP detachment for questioning in connection with the incident.

The details surrounding the argument remain unclear but the investigation to date suggests that both men were known to each other. The suspect believed to be associated to the firearm  has been arrested without incident.
