Prince George, B.C.- The  Cops for Cancer “Tour de North” team is training to get set for September’s 850km ride through north central B.C..

This year, the event will see the team ride from Dawson Creek to Williams Lake in a fundraiser to support kids with cancer, and their families.

26 riders are set to wheel their way on this event that will start on the 13th of September with a send off in Dawson Creek and wrap up in Williams Lake on September 19th.   The Prince George stop  is scheduled for September 17th.

Since the first Cops for Cancer event in Northern Region in 2001, more than $1.7 million has been raised for paediatric cancer research and programs (www.campgoodtimes.org), with $320 thousand raised in 2012 alone. These funds are raised through donations and sponsorships from communities all over the northern region.
