Man Missing Following Hixon Fire

Prince George, B.C. – Prince George RCMP say one person is missing following a residential fire near Hixon on Saturday afternoon.
Cpl Craig Douglass says shortly before 3:30pm Saturday police received word of a fire in a home in a rural area outside Hixon.
When police arrived the home was fully engulfed. They say two people are known to live in the residence. An adult female who was not at home at the time of the fire has been located. However an adult male resident has not been found.
Cpl Douglass says a police service dog and handler conducted a search of the property but found nothing. Prince George RCMP fire investigators along with representatives of the Fire Commissioner’s office will be at the scene today to expand on their probe of the fire and the missing resident.
