Malady de jour? We will only run into trouble if there are more than 365 maladies. Any cure yet for donor fatigue?
With the gradual absence / reduction in government funding, where else are researchers and health agencies going to find the money?
If anyone wants to review some of the Federal Government funding cuts / reductions have a read hear:

Maybe the cure for donor fatigue is to elect a more responsible government?
A high five to you People#1!!!! You got it!!!
It is becoming the world of the haves and have nots. We are no longer our brothers’ keeper through a total community support system, but a select community support system. When that happens, those who can promote themselves the best win. BUT, alot of the money then goe to the cost of promotion rather than the cost of direct support of people who need it as well as research support.
A relative of mine works at the post doctoral level doing Alzheimer research at a famous Canadian institute. At age 30+ he is earning in the order of $40,000 a year. Those people who are the real workers that make a difference in getting one improvement and in one cure after another are never really recognized with a living wage.

To me, the election process is not sufficient. I am starting to believe more and more that we have to hold the feet to the fire of those who did get elected while they are in office as well as those groups responsible for electing them. Get after the Chambers of Commerce, the industrial associations, even the unions who are the funders and voices of those who support such selectively “irresponsible” governments.
As they say with economic development of downtowns or derelict regions of a municipality, it is an ongoing program which does not stop after some infrastructure is renewed.
Governance is an ongoing effort. It is a two way communication which everyone in government speaks of, but absolutely have no experience or even will to carry out.
It is a new world which is having adjusting pains at the moment.

Maybe that relative should look into the climate change scam. A little research would show that is where the money is at.
Did you know that a number of individuals choose to pursue a profession because a member of their family suffered from, or had died from, a specific chronic disease seamutt?
Nice that you would trivialize those people who would work for a driving purpose or reason to prevent someone else, other than their loved one’s, from that same suffering and death!
It is those individual; who are motivated in such a manner, that we, as a society, should deeply admire!
