Man Missing in Boating Accident on Francois Lake

Prince George, B.C. – The search continues today for a missing man following a boating accident on Francois Lake Friday evening.
Two men were in a small boat that overturned in rough water on the lake, which is about 26 kilometres south of Burns Lake. A 21-year-old man managed to reach shore, although he was rushed to hospital with severe hypothermia. The second man, aged 35, is still unaccounted for and is the object of a search involving Search and Rescue members from the Burns Lake area as well as members of the RCMP.
In all about 50 people are involved in today’s search, with a command centre set up on the northwest side of Francois Lake.
