Prince George, BC- One woman is in hospital following a fire in a home on Aintree Drive just after 5 this morning.

When firefighters arrived they found the lone occupant had escaped the blaze but was suffering from smoke inhalation. She was then taken to University Hospital.

When fire crews arrived they found flames coming from the front door and the burned roof.

A fire investigator is on the scene  to try and determine  the cause of the fire.

 

Fire Chief John Lane says no damage estimate is available at this time but it is believed that the building is a total loss.
