Prince George, B.C.- A record participation level for the Prince George, Ride for Dad today. About 126 motorcyclists hit the road in today’s event which is meant to raise funds and awareness of Prostate Cancer.

So far, donations look as though they will top $8,000.

The ride originated in Ottawa in 2000, and since then, has grown to become a national event with riders in 30 cities across the country taking part.

Today’s ride is the third “Ride for Dad” to be undertaken in Prince George.

Ride Captain Pat Austin says the weather today couldn’t be better “We’ve been having people say their prayers for months.”
