Chamber Members Say Yes to Purchase

Prince George, B.C.- As of the 28th of this month, the Prince George Chamber of Commerce will own the building which houses its office.The Chamber had called a special meeting of members, and presented them with the proposal to purchase the building. Those who attended gave unanimous support to the idea.
The purchase price was $365 thousand dollars.
Closing date for the purchase is the 28th of June.

Looking it up on PGMap, it appears that the parcel includes everything from the laneway to 9th Avenue.
The Chamber looks like it is now a landlord.
Good job they don’t have to pay HST on it.
Perhaps that is why they have waited this long ….. ;-)
Actually, since it was bought for a “business”, or a not-for profit associaion, they may get a credit for it.
Any accountants or others on here who may know for sure either way?
