Hazelton, B.C.- The B.C. Coroners Service has released the name of the teen who died at Seeley Lake Provincial Park on Sunday.

 

Adams and two friends went to Seeley Lake Provincial Park on June 16 and decided to swim out from shore to an island known as Turtle Island. Before reaching Turtle Island, the teen was noted to be in distress, and he did not reach the island. The friends were able to call for help, and RCMP found Kurtis Adams in about two metres of water shortly afterwards. He was deceased at the scene.

 

The BC Coroners Service is continuing to investigate this death.
