Prince George, B.C. – Ride Don’t Hide, a cycling event in support of mental health, is taking place this weekend in Prince George.
The ride is a fundraiser for the Canadian Mental Health Association, with all monies raised going to the local branch for programs and services for women and families. It is being held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday. Now the starting point was to have been Cottonwood Island Park, but high water there has caused a move to the parking lot at Winton Global on River Road. Cyclists are asked to be there by 10 so they can register.
The actual ride will likely start at around 10:45 a.m.. The rides range from 1 to 8 kms and will get underway following some words about mental health.
This is the first Ride Don’t Hide event in Prince George and, for the first time as well, it is being held right across the province.
