Sunday, June 23, 2013 @ 4:43 AM
Prince George, B.C. – The tenth annual Walk for ALS in Prince George is taking place this afternoon at Fort George Park.

Over the past nine years more than $170,000 has been raised in the city to create awareness of ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease), help those living with the disease and to find a cure. This year organizers have set a fundraising goal for this event of $24,000.

Participants can run, walk, ride or wheel around the park. And the walk is followed up with music, food, prizes and family entertainment.  Registration starts at 11 this morning with the walk beginning at 1 pm.
