Prince George, B.C.- Call it a case of police pups on patrol in the park.
Members of the Prince George Canine unit had two very young dogs in training in Fort George Park yesterday.
With a class full of young people, all attracted to the dogs, it is a lesson well learned when a dog in training pays attention to the task at hand, and isn’t swayed to visit with the kids.
Exposing dogs in training to outside stimulus to train them to keep their focus is key to the dog being accepted for police work.
