Hot Spell Should Melt Last Remnant Of Winter
Melting into summer…the City’s snow dump at the corner of Foothills and 15th Avenue
Prince George, BC – What was a massive mountain – the City’s snow dump near the soccer fields – is a shadow of its winter self…
A small lake pooling at the base is now draining curbside along 15th Avenue, and, if Environment Canada’s five-day forecast holds true, it should fade into the dog days of summer.
While there is a mix of sun and cloud in the forecast today, with a slight chance of an afternoon shower, today’s high is expected to reach 27. Then, prepare for the blue blazers…
Nothing but sunshine in the forecast from tomorrow through Thursday. The mercury is forecast to climb to 30 degrees for Canada Day and Tuesday, before falling slightly to 27 on Wednesday and Thursday.
Given the aggregate shoreline, it’s unlikely this lake will attract any sunseekers, but area lakes are likely to be busy in the coming days.
