One Person Killed In Single Vehicle Crash Near 100 Mile House
Prince George, BC – RCMP say one person has been killed and three others injured in a single vehicle crash that occurred just south of 100 Mile House earlier this afternoon.
The RCMP’s North District Media Relations Officer, Constable Lesley Smith, says one person died at the scene of the crash that occurred on Highway 97, approximately four-kilometres south of 100 Mile House. Three others have been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Constable Smith says members of the Cariboo-Chilcotin Traffic Service Unit are handling the investigation. An accident reconstructionist from Prince George and a traffic analyst from Williams Lake are on-scene.
No names or hometowns are being released at this time.
DriveBC advises Highway 97 remains closed this hour, with a detour open to single lane alternating traffic via Waulke Road. The route is expected to re-open at 10pm.
