Dusk falls as the RCMP Musical Ride nears its end with the ‘Dome’ formation

Prince George, BC –  It was an appreciative crowd that perched around the ring and on the hillside of the outdoor ice oval in Prince George last night to enjoy the RCMP’s Musical Ride…

Last night’s performance was the first time in 15-years that the Ride has been in the city and marks just the second performance of this summer’s tour.

Regional RCMP brass, including North District Superintendent Rod Booth and Prince George Detachment Superintendent Eric Stubbs, were on-hand for the first of two performances in the city and the rain held of during the troop’s stunning display.

From patterns that required delicate synchronicity – like thread the needle, and the maze – to the show-stopping ‘charge’, the 32 riders and their horses captivated the audience.

The second performance goes, rain or shine, at 2pm today.  Tickets are available at the gate to the ice oval – $10 for adults and seniors, $5 for kids 12 and under, or $25 for a family of four.

Many of those who took in last night’s show were in no rush to hurry home, taking in the opportunity to chat with the riders and pat the horses afterwards.

The Musical Ride is touring BC and Ontario this summer.
