Flames shoot through the roof of a home on Thacker Crescent – photo 250News

Prince George, B.C.-  Prince George Fire Rescue  crews are on scene of a blaze  at a home on Thacker  Crescent, in the First Avenue and Foothills area.

At the peak  of the fire, which was reported  just before 8 tonight, flames  could be seen shooting through the roof of the  home.

One man  has been taken to hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.  There is news  a family pet, a cat,  was rescued from the home.

While the flames were  quickly doused,  the cause of the fire  is not yet known,  nor is the estimate of damage.  Crews remain on scene, ensuring hot spots don’t flare up.
