There were gains made in the Lottery and eGaming sector, with revenue of $298.2 million that was an increase of $19.3 million over the previous year, and a full $10.2 million more than was budgeted.

PG better approve an expansion of the slots so that the casino can start making up that loss. Or better yet, maybe the casino should finally start bringing in all of those great entertainers that they had promised to do when they built their show lounge, LOL ;)
What are your talking about?? Pauly shore is extremely hard to book…cause his phone has been disconnected…
Entertainers? They have entertainers?
Who knew….?
I remember the time when the Casino was in the proposal stage and there was another one of those many mini-pushes on for a PAC in PG. One of the Councillors of the day told me that the City would not have to invest in a PAC since a private developer was going to build one.
Well, there were some grandiose plans of a two storey cabaret style theatre which, while not a PAC, would have been a nice addition to the nightlife scene in PG that could certainly use an infusion of better quality venues.
After shaking my head at the lack of knowledge of such things by the good Councillor (things have not changed much at the lack of knowledge of Councillors) I must admit I got my hopes up a bit.
BUT, the venue was not built as promised in their original drawings and after a couple of tries at getting entertainment in, the thing basically shut down.
I would love to know how some of the other casinos in the GVRD are doing in that regard. I know Langley has a nice casino in conjunction with a hotel and a respectable theatre. Don’t know how it is doing, however.
Looks okay in their web page. So what is wrong with PG. Bunch of beer drinking loggers and tattoo artists? Is that it?

Start comping drinks like real casinos.
“Start comping drinks like real casinos.”
Treasure Cove isn’t even a casino. It’s a slot machine and bingo palace.
Wholey frack! People in PG blew 45 mill at that hole? Crazy!
Yup. Many of those people are probably also complaining that they are ‘taxed to the max’ while paying their voluntary taxes at the slot machines.
Gus you got an issue with Tattoo Artists?
They will probably start charging to park in their lot to make up for lost revenue. Seems to be a common thing in this town. Just think of the cash rolling in if they charged for overnighting in the lot.
Red Robinson theatre in Coquitlam has many artists that are maybe a little past their prime in their career but still worth seeing. With a little work a good promoter could have convinced some of these acts to come to the regal city of Prince George.

Professional, Gus is an artist and a very good one I might add.
Their machines are so tight so it doesn’t surprise me.
i went to a show for the first time there to see Econoline Crush, absolutetly loved it, will go to more shows there in the future, hard though when they are during the week to drag myself into work the next day….better when they are on the weekend. i agree i would go see more acts who are a little past their prime lol. they are still fun to listen to.
I have never been to the show lounge at Treasure Cove and did not realize that there are only 180 seat….acts will have to be WELL past their prime to play that small a venue:)

“Gus you got an issue with Tattoo Artists?”
Yes. Do you?
My issue with tattoo artists is that an English newspaper reporter had an issue with tattoo parlours. I did a quick search of the cities with the most tattoo parlours in the USA and looked at the electronic yellow pages for PG. I posted my findings to show that this so-called reporter needs to do his homework since many of the larger cities have a higher number of tattoo parlours per 100,000 population than we do.
And you did not understand that, Professional? What kind of professional are you? Any professional I know would understand that.
Revenue is down at Casino…maybe it’s because people have been cleaned out of cash..and so the transfer of the cut is less to the City….maybe in the long run it’s better for the City….less social issues to deal with because of gambling…
Could be that people are dropping their money at tattoo parlours instead of the casino…….(especially in Flint Michigan):)
Could be that because of taxation at the various levels of Government, plus the increase in the cost of gas, and the cost of living, people have less money to spend in the Casino’s
