Prince George, BC – The BC Coroners Service is releasing the name of the woman who died following a house fire in a rural area, west of the city on Monday.

Regional Coroner, Donita Kuzma, says 28-year-old Shannon Parsons was rescued by emergency services personnel in the blaze that broke out in her home on Dave Road mid-morning. 

Parsons was transported to hospital, but succumbed to her injuries.

Kuzma says her office and the RCMP continue to investigate, but there is no evidence of foul play at this time.
