Prince George, BC – A lightning storm made the Robson Valley the ‘hot spot’ of the weekend for the Prince George Fire Region…
Fire Information Officer, Dustin Eno, says three fires were sparked Friday night and a fourth was touched off on Saturday. Eno says two three-person initial attack crews from the Robson Valley and four three-person para-attack crews spent the weekend battling the blazes.
As of this morning, three are out and the remaining fire is in patrol mode. At its height, the largest blaze was approximately one-hectare in size and was burning approximately 12-kilometres south of Valemount, on the east side of Highway 5.
Eno says at no time were any structures or infrastructure threatened by the weekend blazes.
