Former RCMP Spokesperson, LeMaitre Found Dead

Prince George, B.C.- The B.C. Coroner’s Service is investigating the death of a well known member of the RCMP.Former media relations officer for the RCMP, Sgt. Pierre LeMaitre was found dead in his Abbotsford home on Monday.

LeMaitre may be best known for being the first to offer “official” comments on the circumstances death of Robert Dziekanski at the Vancouver Airport, but he did serve in Prince George.
During his time in P.G., LeMaitre worked the traffic unit. After transferring to E Division headquarters, where he was working in the communications division, he would later return to traffic with E Division Traffic Services.
The Coroner’s Service says it is too early to comment on the cause of death.

I worked with him. Very good guy.
I will never understand how things can get so bad resulting in things like this.
I worked with him as well. Pierre was all about integrity, and he worked very hard to maintain stability in his life. Whatever brought Pierre to the end of his life certainly didn’t happen easily; he would have done everything to stay standing tall and strong.
Igmore, either you have more info than the story provides or you’re making some big presumptions. People die in their homes every day.
The view, perhaps its inhouse and he doesn’t want to discuss it here. I wouldn’t either.
