July Pretty Normal

Prince George, B.C. – When it comes to weather, July in Prince George, was pretty normal.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Doug Lundquist says P.G. received a little less rainfall last month than is normal in July, getting 48mm over the 31 days compared to the normal average of 64 mm.
We have all heard other parts of the province have had the driest July in years with Kamloops for instance getting just .6 mm of moisture compare to the average 25-30mm during the month.
As for record temperatures, thee was only one new record set in Prince George last month, that was on July 1st when the temperature hit33.5 degrees, up from the old record of 32.8 set on July 1st in 1942. In all, July had an average temperature of 15.9 degrees in Prince George, which is pretty much the norm as the average daily temp in July is 15.5.
