Grow Op Busted
Thursday, August 1, 2013 @ 2:12 PM

Police executed a search warrant on the property yesterday, and seized nearly 500 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. Police estimate this crop could have produced as many as 126 thousand “joints”.
Prince George RCMP spokesperson, Corporal Craig Douglass says marijuana gwo ops continue to pose a safety threat to members of the public and to police officers who investigate grow ops. “"Where you have a marijuana grow operation, you have an increased chance of fire, electrocutions, explosions and violence” says Cpl Douglass, “We will continue to work with our partners to combat the organized crime groups responsible for the marihuana drug trade in the Prince George area."
A 39 year old Prince George man was located at the property, arrested, and later released on a Promise to Appear for Court on September 25th, 2013. Production and possession related charges are being forwarded to Federal Crown Counsel for approval.

Another drop in the bucket.
Don’t these people know it is against the law to grow pot without jumping through many government hoops?
Was it organic?
Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?
I weally diswike gwo ops!
:)
“Where you have a marijuana grow operation, you have an increased chance of fire, electrocutions, explosions.”
So, how often have we had such incidents in this city? If there were any it would surely be recorded on 250NEWS.
This is the only one I could find on here.

Always hire only licensed and bonded electricians to avoid problems. ;)
metalman.
What is a 126,000 joints end to end… 31,500 feet doesn’t even make it to space… maybe make it to the corner store if you need to find your way back home though….
I wonder if the police ever get tired of fighting a useless battles. 60% of canadiens could care less. The police should start using their resources more effectively.
Could care less? If this grow op was run by criminal gangs, that bust has deprived them of a quarter million in profit, to use for whatever nefarious purpose. Not to mention the investment they’ve lost. No, this is a good news story, problem is that the cops are barely making a dent.
Police have a budget, HA don’t. A few less kids to addict to heavier crap. If you live in La La land though, you won’t agree, just like pot users won’t agree they’re helping organized crime, or choose to ignore it.
“If this grow op was run by criminal gangs, that bust has deprived them of a quarter million in profit”
Sort of like leakage in a retail store to them.
As you wrote yourself: “the cops are barely making a dent”
