Quesnel, B.C.-The Quesnel RCMP and additional specialized police resources have been called out to a residence on Poplar Avenue in Quesnel in response to a police situation.

Eleven residences in the surrounding area have been evacuated as a safety precaution and the 1800 and 1900 block of Poplar Avenue has been closed to all traffic.

RCMP would like to thank the public and the media for their cooperation in this matter as police personnel work to bring this incident to a safe conclusion.
