Prince George, BC – This evening’s brilliant sunset is not the end of Mother Nature’s sky show…

Stargazers will be in for a treat as the Perseid Meteor Shower is expected to put on a dazzling display the next three nights.

According to EarthSky’s meteor shower guide, this is the peak weekend for watching the perseid – with between 50 to 100 meteors per hour streaking across the nighttime sky.

The best viewing time is said to be in the early morning hours just before dawn.
