Sunday, August 11, 2013 @ 7:10 AM

Prince George, BC – BC Hydro has restored power to more than two-thousand Prince George customers…

The overnight lightning storm knocked out service to 2097 customers at 12:40am.  Service was restored just after 6:30 this morning.

What I, and probably the other 2096 customers would like to know is, why have the last three major power outages in PG have all been in the same area – East of NORTHWOOD PULP RD, North of ALPINE DR. Each one has lasted a minimum of 3 hours, and the explanation has been given as “Other” apart from last nights, which was explained as a “wind storm”

I was awake when the power outage happened and there was a slight breeze, I doubt the conditions 3km away at Cummins Road would have been any different. Is there a problem with their equipment on Cummins Road? If so, they need to fix it PDQ. Just because it is only affecting 2097 customers, that doesn’t make us any less valuable or vocal.

Why don’t you ask them.
