Prince George, BC – The BC Wildfire Management Branch says lightning storms yesterday kept Fire Centres in the Cariboo and Kamloops busy with numerous wildfire starts…
The Branch says while smoke may be visible in many areas, most of the new starts are spot-sized and are being actioned by initial-attack crews. As of last night, no values or structures were being threatened.
Wildfire Management officials are thanking the general public for their vigilance in reporting any signs of forest fires. The numbers to call are *5555 on a cell, or 1-800-663-5555.
