Houston, B.C. – One man is dead,  having succumbed to injuries  suffered in a fire on Sunday in Houston.

RCMP say   there was a fire an explosion at a shed on a residential property  on Duke  Road just before noon on Sunday. 

When  emergency crews arrived on scene, they found a male, suffering from severe burns.  He was transported to hospital, but later died of his injuries.

The shed on the residential property  was  damaged in the fire. The cause of the fire and explosion is still under investigation, however police say there was a small marijuana grow  op in the building.

The name of the  male   who  died is not being released at this time.

 The RCMP  and the BC Coroners Service are  investigating.
