Burns Lake, B.C.- It has now been nearly one week since 36 year old Brett Smith of Prince George was last seen but the search continues.  "We have all the resources in place and continue to search" says RCMP spokesperson, Sgt. Peter Thiessen.

 

A side sonar unit is being utilized in the Takysie Lake  to locate a body as it is presumed that Smith  has drowned.

 

Smith was staying at the Takysie Lake Resort, about 50km south of Burns Lake. Family members contacted the resort last Thursday, having grown concerned as they had not heard from Smith since Tuesday the 6^th of August.

 

A small boat that had been used by Smith was located on the north shore of the lake, but no sign of Smith.

 

A search was launched and continues today, but still, no sign of the missing Prince George man.
