Vanderhoof- RCMP say alcohol and drugs have been ruled out in an accident west of Vanderhoof on highway 16 yesterday that sent the driver to hospital with serious injuries. Police are however not ruling  out speed as a factor.

Highway 16 west was closed for 11 hours, as a collision analyst ,  tried to piece together the crash which saw the east bound car cross the center line and slam head on into a west bound semi.

The driver of the semi did not suffer any injuries.
