BMX Provincials Head Into Final Day

Prince George, B.C. – Championship BMX racing is taking place this weekend at the Supertrak course at Carrie Jane Gray Park.
The Provincial Championships in numerous categories are being held here, and they include
competitors in all sizes. This
youngster (pictured right) may need dad to hold the bike while he climbs aboard, but once in motion it was pedal to the metal and evryone else move aside.

Riders from all over British Columbia are taking part in the event and many are accompanied by their families, who are contributing to the local economy with hotel and motel stays, meals at city restaurants and purchases from local businesses. Fortunately the weather has held out, save a few showers, and they have actually been a benefit by keeping the dust levels down on the track.
Besides the fun and excitement of competing, the riders have several reasons (below) for putting in their best showing at these provincials.
The championship triple point Provincial Final Race goes today. Registration from 10:30 to 11:30 am, with racing to follow.
