Terrace RCMP Seek Groping Suspect

Tuesday, August 20, 2013 @ 9:47 AM
Terrace, B.C. – Terrace Mounties believe one man may be responsible for three separate incidents where women were either grabbed or groped.

Investigators say the first incident happened early last Friday near the weigh scales between Terrace and Thornhill.

Mounties say a young woman was walking east at about 1 a.m. when a man jumped out of the bushes at the intersection of Highway 16 and Highway 37 South and began to chase her. The suspect grabbed the victim’s arm, but she was able to escape and run to a nearby gas station.

Police say the second incident occurred that same day at about 7 p.m. in the downtown core of Terrace. A man approached a young woman walking with friends, and after speaking with her, reached out to grab her breast. Her friends stepped in the way and told the man to leave.

Yesterday, a woman walking along Old Lakelse Lake Drive around 4 a.m. was followed by a man driving a small white car with a spoiler and red and blue lights on the dash. The man repeatedly stopped the woman and asked her to get in the vehicle. When he demanded she get in, the woman fled to a gas station for help.

The suspect in all three cases is described as having dark skin, possibly South Asian, with puffy cheeks. He is approximately 30 years old, 6 feet tall, with a medium build, short dark hair, clean shaven, and has very calloused hands.

Contact Terrace RCMP or Crimestoppers if you have any information or may have been approached by this suspect.

Red and blue lights? Another nut pretending to be a cop?

Since my last comment was censored/deleted, perhaps this will be more acceptable.

If these ladies are going out at night at 1 AM and 4 AM respectively, I think they should be pairs at the very least.

“Red and blue lights? Another nut pretending to be a cop?”
Has anyone heard what happened to that fellow?

My guess would be one day in jail, eighteen months probation and a ten year firearms ownership ban. What could be worse than that as a penalty, eh?

They did get that guy back about the time he was doing all that!

Ho do we get from a 30 year old in Terrace to an 18-19 year old in Prince George …. arrested, name released … and person released all in one weekend?

Based on the Tuesday morning article the person responsible was still being sought.

simple – the guy in Terrace also had red and blue lights on his car so as a related story I asked if anyone had heard any updates on what happened to the guy that was arrested in PG. Someone answered. Thanks btw Ella.

Yes, red and blue light on the dash …. in communities 500 km or so apart … that is VERY simple alright. Was the car small, white with a spoiler as well?

And did he have calloused hands?

Gus you really do think too much sometimes. In no way did I think or suggest that this was the same guy. One story reminded me of another. Thats it, thats all.

1. the report had a guy in Terrace with red and blue lights on the dash

2. cmdrjoe stated another guy pretending to be a cop. How is anyone to know what “another” relates to? Someone in the past; someone in the present; someone in Vancouver; someone in Fort Nelson?

3. Interceptor then wrote: “Has anyone heard what happened to that fellow”. How should I know who “that” refers to? The other? The one in the story above. We all do not read ever single report on this news site.

4. There was a post removed due to a name being given which may have dealt with the “other”.

So, confusion reigns for some of us who do not read all posts or threads. The way to solve that is for all of us to realize that and perhaps give notice such as what you just did ….. one story reminded you of another….

In an unrelated incident, another person was arrested in PG for impersonating a policeman because they also had blue and red lights on the dash of their car.

Or maybe something like:

“Has anyone heard what happened to that fellow who was pretending to be a cop?”

That would have gone a long way to making it clear.

;-)

im still going with you think too much ;)
lol

So, do you think that a runner who runs 3+ hours per day to train in order to enter marathon runs spends too much time running?

They exercise their body, I exercise my mind …. ;-)

On top of that, every now and then some idea pops up that someone finds useful and I can share.

I am not sure what the runner can share.

Let me think on that for a while ….. :-)
