Terrace,  B.C. – A Hazelton man has been identified as the person killed in a crash near Kitwanga earlier this week.

 

The BC Coroners Service says 25 year old Garnett Matthew Reid was killed when his car left Highway 37 North Monday night. RCMP say witnesses observed a black Pontiac travelling south in the north-bound lane before it left the road and rolled down a 10-metre embankment.

 

RCMP say Reid was ejected during the crash and pronounced dead at the scene. Police have said alcohol may have played a role in the crash.

 

RCMP and the BC Coroners Service continue to investigate the fatality.
